As the spring and summer approaches we are happy to announce a new service, respite day care, that gives people the opportunity to come and sample what St. Vincent’s in Bexhill on Sea have to offer.
We are opening up our doors for people to come and spend the day with us for a small cost. It gives people the opportunity to get a feel for the home, try a dish form our extensive menu and possibly participate in the homes daily activity. It also gives people the opportunity to meet new faces and perhaps discuss the personal experience of those living in the care setting.
It is also an opportunity to meet the team, to ask questions about respite day care and get a feel of the home. We appreciate many people have reservations about coming into fulltime care and we hope that in giving people this opportunity, we can provide reassurance and show how positive the transition to care can actually be.
St Vincents prides itself on being ‘home from home’ and this phrase that comes from those who visit and live here. It is something the staff team are very proud of. The staff team are the core of the home and it is their mix of outstanding abilities, empathy and compassion, that add so much more to the enjoyment of the home and the atmosphere.
